In Istanbul, the police raided the houses of the Mücadele Birliği Newspaper office, Ayışığı Ekin Art Association and its employees. Songül Yücel, Editor-in-Chief of Önsöz magazine published by Ayışığı Ekin Art Association, and illustrator Sena Şat from the editorial board were detained at their homes on suspicion of “membership in a terrorist organization” (TCK 314) (6 October).
Police detained Mücadele Birliği Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Ezgi Yergin and Mücadele Birliği Platform Representative Muhammed Hizmetçi (October 6).
The detained newspaper and magazine employees were released on October 9 (October 9).
