Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chair Devlet Bahçeli, in a statement on his social media account on March 31, 2021, turned some journalists and TV commentators into a target by giving their names.

Bahçeli argued that journalists Necdet Saraç, Şaban Sevinç, Orhan Bursalı and Sevilay Yılman, communication specialist Ali Haydar Fırat and Sonar Research Chair Hakan Bayrakçı were “acting like spokespersons for the CHP” on TV channels and alleged that these persons were “hired people paid to lobby for elections” (March 31).
