The 1st High Criminal Court of Cizre ruled on March 8, 2017 and acquitted DİHA reporter Nedim Oruç, who was detained and arrested during the curfew in the Silopi district of Şırnak. Oruç was imprisoned for five months for “propagandising for a terrorist organisation”, “commiting offence on behalf of an organisation,without being its member” and “failure to report an offence”
