A criminal complaint was filed against journalist Murat Ağırel’s book “Havala”, which deals with drug trafficking and money laundering in Turkey, and the book was requested to be confiscated. Ağırel said that the person who filed the complaint about the book was Ahmed Ben Khadra, the brother of Alaa Ben Khadra, whose container contained 258 kilos of cocaine during an operation at the Port of Mersin in 2022, and that this person had previously been tried for meat smuggling and acquitted (August 22nd).
