Former Ankara reporter of Taraf Newspaper Hüseyin Özkaya is standing trial with the allegation of being a member of FETÖ. The charges against him bases upon his job at Taraf Newspaper alongside his usage of ByLock app and that he increased his savings at Bank Asya following the FETO announcement to do so.
Ankara 16 Heavy Criminal Court found him guilty on the charge of being a member of a terrorist organization and sentenced him to 7 years 6 months imprisonment. (17 September)
