The Istanbul 9th Criminal Court of Peace has blocked access to news regarding the large amounts of scholarships received by AKP Istanbul deputies Ravza Kavakçı Kan and Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya and AKP Istanbul Women’s Branch Chair Rabia İlhan Kalender from Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) subsidiaries KİPTAŞ and İSBAK during the AKP term, as well as YouTube videos of parliamentary discussions and social media posts, on the grounds of “violation of personal rights.” (February 29th).
