The trial over “conspiracy against Şık” has begun: On the grounds that they arrested investigative journalist Ahmet Şık over his draft book “İmamın Ordusu” (Imam’s Army) with a conspiracy in March 2011, seven judges and prosecutors stand trial at the 14th Penal Chamber of the Court of Cassation for “misconduct in office” and “restriction of freedom”. The trial of A. Alçık, A.E. Peksak, H. Şen, M. Ekinci, Ö. Diken. R. Çakır and S. Mermerci began on March 6. The trial will continue on June 16 (June 9).

The 9th Penal Chamber of the Court of Cassation will continue holding the trial of seven judges and prosecutors for arresting investigative journalist Ahmet Şık over the draft book of “Imam’s Army” in March 2011 on February 8, 2022 (November 1).
