Despite the Justice Ministry inspectors’ recommendation that a reprimand should be given to prison official Muhammed B. for battering Odatv news website’s editor-in-chief Barış Pehlivan while he was entering the prison on March 6, 2021, the Silivri Prison Administration punished the official only with a “warning” on the grounds of his “good conduct.” The Silivri Public Prosecutor’s Office gave a decision of “non-prosecution” a few months prior (February 17).
