An investigation was launched against Halk TV presenter Ayşenur Arslan for the crimes of “making propaganda for a terrorist organization” and “praising the crime and the criminal” due to her comment about the attack on the General Directorate of Security in the Medya Mahallesi program dated October 2.

Arslan, whose statement was decided to be taken within the scope of the investigation, was taken to the Istanbul Palace of Justice (Courthouse) in Çağlayan under the supervision of the Istanbul Anti-Terrorism Branch Directorate teams. Arslan was released after his one-hour statement.

Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) Chairman Ebubekir Şahin announced that an investigation was launched against journalists Ayşenur Arslan and Halk TV due to their speeches about the attack on the General Directorate of Security. Halk TV Chairman of the Board of Directors, Cafer Mahiroğlu, announced that they decided to terminate journalist Ayşenur Arslan’s Medya Mahallesi program, following the investigation announcement of the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) (October 3).
