Upon the criminal complaint of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s former lawyer Mustafa Doğan İnal, an investigation was launched against Kısa Dalga columnist Ersan Atar and Managing Editor Sezgin Kesim on the grounds of the news report titled “The minutes of the mafia intercepting the state and the deep silence of the state.” Launching an investigation on the grounds of “baseless libel and accusations against personality rights”, the prosecutor’s office indicated that an order would be issued to bring Atar and Kesim by force if they fail to come to the office within 7 days. The İstanbul 9th Criminal Judgeship of Peace gave a decision to block access to the article (August 17).
