An investigation has been launched against lawyer Nurcan Kaya, a columnist for Artı Gerçek news website, on charge of “propagandizing for a terrorist organization” over her social media posts (July 14).
With the investigation completed, a court case was filed against Nurcan Kaya, who started standing trial at the Diyarbakır 9th High Criminal Court (October 5).
At the final hearing on September 27, 2021, the court board ruled that Nurcan Kaya should be sentenced to 1 year, 3 months in prison on charge of “propagandizing for a terrorist organization”. The announcement of the verdict has been deferred (September 27).
