Cem Küçük, known for his threats to journalists, used the phrase “dog” for Hande Fırat, who criticized the government with the article of “The headquarter is disturbed” published in Hürriyet newspaper. Küçük also threatened Ertuğrul Özkök, the editor in chief, with imprisonment (10 March 2017).
