A company named SBS Bilimsel Bio Çözümler (SBS Scientific Bio Solutions) filed a lawsuit for damages against bianet columnist and academic Bülent Şık over his writings about the products on “Gıda Dedektifi” (Food Detective) website. While the company requested 101 Turkish Lira (TRY) in damages from Şık, Şık’s lawyer requested a decision of non-jurisdiction from the appeals court (December 21).
