The first hearing of the lawsuit filed by Tuncay Özdamar, the WDR Cosmo Turkish Director, who was detained at Ankara Esenboğa Airport on September 30, 2023 on charges of “targeting individuals who took part in the fight against terrorism” (Article 6 of the TMK), demanding compensation from the Treasury for being detained at Ankara Esenboğa Airport and held in custody for 14 hours, was held at the Istanbul 15th High Criminal Court on May 23.

The second hearing in the compensation case was held at the İstanbul 15th High Criminal Court on 20 September 2024. Özdamar’s lawyer Emine Özhasar demanded that the missing issues be completed and the lawsuit be accepted (September 20th).
