A decision of non-prosecution was given for the investigation that was launched by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office against reporter Lezgin Akdeniz and Mezopotamya Agency (MA) Managing Editor Ferhat Çelik for allegedly “provoking the public to hatred and hostility” with the news report “Discrimination knows no virus: Mosques disinfected, djemevis and churches not”, which was published by the MA in March (September 7).
