The Diyarbakır 9th Heavy Penal Court sentenced Mezopotamya Agency (MA) editor, Mehmet Ali Ertaş to 1 year and 3 months of imprisonment for “Degrading Turkish Nation, State of Turkish Republic, the Organs and Institutions of the State and “propagandising for a terrorist organisation” on December 23, 2017, on the grounds that he has called the Ankara Train Station Attack as “massacre”.
