An investigation is launched against Gençağa Karafazlı who is also the president of Rize branch of Progressive Journalists Association and newspaper editor Doğan Can İlek due to the news article called “Corona Alert at Çaykur (General Directorate of Tea Enterprises) published on March 31.
The news reported 11 people working at Çaykur’s factories were tested positive. Çaykur administration had filed a complaint claiming that the news article constituted defamation to the repetition of the company.
Karafazlı and İlek were summoned for questioning on April 9.
According to Speakup24’s news, six separate investigations has been launched against the grand owner of local Nabız online web platform Gençağa Karafazlı and editor of the website Doğan Can Dilek in 20 days.
