Ses Kocaeli Newspaper editor-in-chief İsmail Çiğit was taken into custody through a police raid to his house, due to a news article regarding two coronavirus related deaths at a local hospital. After Güngör Aslan, who is a journalist at the same online local newspaper, informed police that the article was penned by him, Çiğil was released and Aslan was taken into custody. Aslan and managing editor Ahmet Seminer were relased after giving their statements.
