The house of Hasan Tolga Balcılar, a journalist in Osmaniye province, was raided by the police for the third time on May 27, 2021. In his statement, Balcılar said that he had been battered, he had slipped his right shoulder and the images/videos in his spouse’s phone had been deleted.
Balcılar argued that his house had been raided upon the instruction of Osmaniye Mayor Kadir Kara on the grounds that he had reported on the irregularities at the Osmaniye Municipality (May 27).
