Amid the forest fires raging across Turkey since July 28, 2021, journalists were prevented by the gendarmerie from filming and covering the Muğla Kemerköy Thermal Power Plant, which was also threatened by flames.
While “accreditation” was required in the region, journalists Yasin Akgül from AFP and reporter Gülşah İnce Kemerköy from Fox TV Main News bulletin were not allowed to enter the area where the Kemerköy Thermal Power Plant was located (August 6).
