Former CHP MP Dursun Çiçek filed a lawsuit for damages against Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı, who alleged in an article dated June 17, 2020 that Çiçek was friends and had connections with former Brigadier General Mehmet Partigöç, who was convicted of “FETÖ”- related charges. The final hearing of the case was held on February 17, 2022.

It was alleged that in his related article published in Güneş newspaper and during his talk at a program on Beyaz TV, the journalist committed the offenses of “libel” and “insult” against Çiçek. The court has ruled that Kütahyalı shall pay Çiçek 12,500 TRY with interest in non-pecuniary damages (February 17).
