Diren Keser, a reporter for Pir news agency, was taken into custody in Mersin and released 14 days after with judicial control measures on February 16, 2017.
At the final hearing, Keser was sentenced to 21 months in prison (December 26, 2017).
Keser’s sentence was upheld and he was arrested on February 27. The case file was brought to the Constitutional Court (June 30th).
Diren Keser, Mersin correspondent for Pir News Agency, was released from Mersin Tarsus Type T Prison.
Keser had been convicted by the Mersin 9th High Criminal Court for “making propaganda for a terrorist organization” over social media posts from 2015 and was arrested on February 27, 2024.
