On September 13, 2018, the 2nd Assize Criminal Court of İstanbul sentenced the former grant holder for daily Evrensel Arif Koşar and Vural Nasuhbeyoğlu, the former managing director, to 7000 turkish liras of judicial fines in the trial in which they were charged with allegedly “insulting the President of the Republic”.
The case was seeking up to 4 years and 8 months of imprisonment per each.
