On March 29, 2018, the 2nd Assize Criminal Court of İstanbul sentenced Arif Koşar, the former grant holder for daily Evrensel and Vural Nasuhbeyoğlu, the former managing director, to 7000 Turkish Liras of judicial fine for each for “insulting the President of the Republic” due to the news article entitled “Halka destek, saraya tepki [solidarity with public, against the Palace]” covering the statements of sixteen political parties and organisations in Latin America about the 10 October Ankara massacre”.
