A lawsuit for non-pecuinary damages was filed against managing editor of Evrensel newspaper Çağrı Sarı and cartoonist Sefer Selvi by the Istanbul Anatolian 29th Civil Court of First Instance due to the cartoon published on the newspaper on the ‘Paradise Papers’ through which the sons of the-then Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım were mentioned. Yıldırım demands 40 thousand Turkish Liras in non-pecuniary damages on grounds that Selvi’s cartoon “violated his personal rights.”

On November 8, 2018, the court decided to the refusal of the case against Çağrı Sarı due to the lack of hostility and sentenced Sefer Selvi to pay 10000 Turkish Liras.
