Defense Minister Hulusi Akar filed a complaint against journalist Rahmi Yıldırım for his article titled ‘I feel very sorry for the chief of Staff’. The indictment was accepted by the 3rd Criminal Court of First Instance of Gölbaşı in Ankara and hearing will be held on October 2nd.

At the hearing held on 2 October, Rahmi Yıldırım requested the dismissal of the case, since the complaint was issued after the statute of limitation of 4 months was expired. Next hearing will be on December 25.

At the last hearing held on December 25, the 3rd Criminal Court of First Instance of Gölbaşı acquitted journalist Rahmi Yıldırım (25 Aralık).
