Sakarya 1. Peace Judgeship had had decided to block access to the article of Cumhuriyet Daily columnist Özgen Acar published in June 2015, concerning the insult of Hüseyin Avni Coş, the Adana governor of that time, towards a citizen. Upon the application, the Constitutional Court found violation of freedom of expression and press and decided that Özgen Acar and the-then editor-in-chief for cumhuriyet.com.tr Oğuz Güven to be paid a fine of 4000 TL and lift of the access ban (1 December 2018)
