The Constitutional Court decided that the punishment on the grounds of “insult” due to the articles written by Dursun Onur, a columnist in the local news portal, Giresun Time, requesting the resignation of the head of Giresunspor Club and commenting on his political and economical relations, was violated Onur’s right of freedom of expression. The court ruled that Onur shall be paid 10,000 TL of compensation (29 January).
