Two journalists working for Cumhuriyet newspaper, reporter Miyase İlknur and the daily’s digital edition’s former editor-in-chief Oğuz Güven, filed a complaint to the Constitutional Court about a news report blocked by the 1st Peace and Criminal Court in Sakarya

The constitutional court decided that imposing an access block violates the freedom of expression rights of Oğuz Güven and Miyase İlknur so they shall be paid 6000 Turkish Liras of compensation in total.
