The 2nd High Criminal Court of Düzce sentenced the correspondent for not-shuttered daily Zaman and Düzce bureau chief of Cihan News Agency jailed Beytullah Özdemir to 7 years and 6 months imprisonment for “membership in a terrorist organization [FETÖ]” on 5 July 2018 in the scope of “FETÖ” investigation. He has on trial on the grounds that ByLock was found on his phone and he signed in 631 times.
The court decided to separate the file of Ahmet Özdemir Düzce bureau manager for daily Zaman, who has an arrest warrant, from Beytullah Özdemir’s file.
