Istanbul Prosecutor Muhammet Akçaer initiated an investigation against Ahmet Sever a T24 writer, who had worked as the press advisor to the former president, Abdullah Gül for 12 years, on the accusation of “membership in a terrorist organization”. Sever could face five to 10 years in prison.

Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office in Istanbul decided not to prosecute Ahmet Sever on the grounds of the lack of evidence in his investigation on suspicion of ‘FETÖ membership’ (5 April).
