A lawsuit requesting compensation for non-pecuniary damages was filed against journalist Tamer Arda Ersin by the President of Ankara University Erkan İbiş, due to his article titled “ President İbiş was acquitted on 6 investigations within 11 days” published at 15 March 2017. Ankara 12 Assize Court had rejected the compensation request. Upon the appeal, the decision was upheld by the Supreme Court.
