The convicted of leading organized crime organization, Alaattin Çakıcı, who was visited by the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Leader Devlet Bahçeli, has threatened six writers for daily Karar over their articles through which they have opposed against the alliance of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) and MHP for June 24 elections. In the message released by Çakıcı, the names of the columnists Akif Beki, Etyen Mahçupyan, Ali Bayramoğlu, Hakan Albayrak, Gürbüz Özaltınlı have also been mentioned. Journalists have been assigned bodyguards and police have been sent to the newspaper building.
