Reporting on the allegations of sexual abuse of village guards against children, journalist Oktay Candemir announced on social media that he was receiving death threats from the related groups. Candemir applied to the Van Branch of the Human Rights Association (İHD) and announced that he would take legal action about the threats (January 12).
