Journalist Bülent Pınarbaşı was threatened and insulted by Aliağa Mayor Serkan Acar on May 2, 2017, after he wrote a news article titled “Milletin ekibi mi, MTP’nin ekibi mi (Is the team of the nation or the MTP team)” published in the Aliağa Ekspress newspaper in İzmir.
