Journalist Timur Soykan’s article titled “550 million TL loan from Halkbank to the mafia” published in Birgün was blocked from access and removed from content upon Halkbank’s complaint. The court stated that “personality rights had been violated” in its decision to place the news item based on MASAK report, under an access block and removal of content order, but did not provide any details as to the violation in question (June 5th ).
