Now-closed DİHA Diyadin correspondent Abdullah Kaya was detained from his home on January 18, 2017, and were arrested with seven people including local HDP officials for “membership in a terrorist organisation”. He was sent to Ağrı M Type Closed Prison. Abdullah Kaya was released on 11 May 2018 with an interim decision.
