Şermin Soydan, Hakkari correspondent of the DİHA Agency, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for “Disclosure of Information Which Must be Kept Confidential” was acquitted on February 21, 2018. Soydan, who was arrested on May 14, 2016, for releasing the operation against Yüksekova with the news titled “Here is a ‘confidential’ operation document to Gever”, was released pending trial in November 2016.
