The second High Criminal Court of Mersin sentenced DİHA reporter İdris Sayılğan, who has been detained in Trabzon E Type Prison for 13 months, to 1 year and 8 months of imprisonment for “membership in a terrorist organisation” and “propagandising for a terrorist organisation”. On December 29, 2017, the Court of Appeal approved this decision.

Erzurum Regional Court of Justice 2nd Penal Chamber (court of appeal) has ruled for the release of journalist İdris Sayılğan (November 29).
