The Second Criminal Court of First Instance sentenced journalist Gökçe Fırat Çulhaoğlu to “11 months and 20 days of imprisonment” for “Insulting the President of the Republic” through his book entitled “Kanlı Başkanlık Yolu” [The Bloody path of Presidentship”, with the decision dated 8 June 2017. The prison sentence was suspended.
