Diken website author Levent Gültekin was tried on charges of “insulting the President of the Republic” due to his comments he made on Medyascope, an online TV station, on December 12, 2016, demanding up to 4 years and 8 months of imprisonment. The 24th Criminal Court of First Instance ruled acquittal of Levent Gültekin on March 27, 2018.
