The 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance of Istanbul Anatolia, with the decision dated 2 March 2017, acquitted Murat Belge of the charge of “insulting the President of the Republic” on the grounds of his article in Taraf newspaper. The court has demanded 4 years and 8 months of imprisonment.
