Former Evrensel reporter Cansu Pişkin is sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment for her news report titled “Special Prosecutor for Boğaziçi Students” dated April 5, 2018 for allegedly “marking the identity of a state official assigned in the fight against terrorism as a target”.

The Istanbul 36th High Criminal Court sentenced Pişkin for 10 years of imprisonment. The pronouncement of the judgement has been deferred.
