Sputnik Turkey’s Editor-in-chief Mahir Boztepe was taken into custody in Istanbul from the office of the agency. According to Anadolu Agency’s news, journalist was requested to give a statement in relation to an investigation under Article 301 and 302 of the Penal Code. Boztepe was released after giving his statement. Meanwhile police officers conducted a search of Istanbul office of the agency.
On the same day, three journalists from Ankara office were taken into custody and released afterwards.
